A focused release-record request should identify the person and the booking event. The Dallas County Jail Temporary Facility serves the adult local jail function for Dallas County, Alabama. The county jail page reports an average population of about 180 inmates and a jail staff of 28 people. Pickup and Property Checks
Physical release logistics need extra confirmation in Dallas County because of the tornado displacement. A family member or friend should not assume that a person exits from the original Selma jail building or that property is released from an older jail address. Call the current jail number before travel and ask where the person is actually held for Dallas County, where the release will occur, where property is held, what identification is required, and whether release timing depends on court paperwork, bond processing, transport, or another agency's hold.
